Jillian Nickel BSc.-HS, NM(MRT)
About Me
I'm currently working as a clinical analyst at Alberta Health Services in the clinical informatics area of IT, where I support clinicians across the province with their patient data and management of electronic medical records. In this role I do not belong to any professional organizations currently. However before I started this role with AHS, I did become a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist in 2012 through the national licensing body, the CAMRT (Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technologists). I was also then a member of the ACMDTT (the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists).

I am also currently a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Health Studies with a Health Research focus to help me branch into a new career centered around clinical research for a cellular biological interest of mine.

I have a strong desire to assist in the clinical research field in an area of one of my own personal cellular biological interests so that I can collaborate with current and active investigators of specific disease development on cellular levels. Because of this interest to transition into such a research role I have recently reached out to SOCRA to start my application for certification as a registered clinical research associate. Upon obtaining this certification and completing my graduate program, I will most likely transition into a clinical research associate role where I will be hopefully investigating cellular disease in a diagnostic setting.
